Araneo was founded in 2001 and was a pioneer in the field of closed circuit IPTV solutions.  In 2010, with the launch of HotelTV, Araneo added content sourcing and service operations to its development activities.

HotelTV was launched in Israel in late 2010 under the TVcation brand. Within nine months, the services was operating in 20,000 rooms in 70 hotels, representing close to 90% of all luxury hotel rooms and almost 50% of all rooms in Israel.  Advertisers include first tier international companies such as Motorola, Schweppes,  Grohe,  Aquafresh, Bank Hapoalim, Pelephone, Superpharm and more. Regional HotelTV operating companies are being formed in France, the UK, Florida, US and other locations.
